Introduction to Computers
The Computers screen shows all the computers you have added to Teramind, when they were last seen, online status, operating systems, etc.
1. The report comes with three pinned filters (Monitored, Name, Online) applied by default. You apply additional filters by clicking the Filters button. Check out the Filters section to learn more about filters.
2. Click the Grid icon to add or remove columns from the report. For instructions on organizing columns and rows within a grid widget, refer to the Adjusting Columns and Rows section.
Here’s a description of each column:
Computer Name: shows the name of the computer. Clicking the name will take you to the computer’s profile page (monitoring reports).
Last Login: shows when the user last logged in or “Online” if they are currently online.
Operating System Type: shows the installed OS type.
Operating System: shows the OS version.
Agent Type: shows if the computer has a Stealth or Revealed Agent installed.
Agent Version: shows the Agent version.
Status: shows the status of the computer:
Monitored/Not Monitored: whether the computer is monitored or not.
Archived: you archived the computer (from its Actions menu).
IP: shows the IP address of the computer.
Online Count: shows how many users are online from a computer.
Online Agents: shows a list of users who are online.
Viewing a Computer’s Details / Monitoring Reports
Click Open Profile from a computer’s Actions menu or click a computer’s name to access its monitoring reports.
Activity Log
1. On top of the screen, you will see several tabs. These tabs are similar to the built-in dashboards available under the Dashboards menu. For more information about each tab, check out the sections below.
2. The report comes with two pinned filters (Employee, Date) applied by default. You can apply additional filters by clicking the Filters button. Check out the Filters section to learn more about filters.
3. You can turn monitoring on/off for the computer by clicking the Monitor toggle button.
4. If the computer is online, you will see the Live View button. Click the button to view the computer's desktop live on the Session Player.
5. Click the Update agent button to update the Agent to the latest version.
6. Click the Troubleshooting button to launch a Remote Troubleshooting session. Check out this Knowledge Base article to learn more.
7. The Dashboard Actions Menu on this dashboard comes with a few extra options in addition to the standard dashboard actions:
Edit Computer info: to edit the computer’s information/settings, such as clearing the print spool, setting up auto delete of recordings, etc.
Uninstall Agent: will uninstall/remove the Agent from the computer.
Export data: will let you export the video recording. The process is similar to exporting video from the Session Player.
Archive / Restore: Choose Archive to remove the employee from all dashboards and reports. The Restore option will bring the employee back.
When you archive computers, they aren't permanently deleted, but rather hidden from the computers list and all monitoring reports. Monitoring is also disabled for archived computers.
Export data as CSV: will export the data in the grid widget as a CSV file.
Export PDF: will export the data in PDF format. Check out the Exporting the Dashboard as a PDF section to learn more.
8. Just under the filters, you'll find the computer's basic profile information. This includes details like its operating system (OS), IP address, installed Agent, and a list of the last online employees. Depending on your window's size, you might not see all the employees. If this happens, you'll see a "+number" (e.g., "+34"). You can hover over this number to view the remaining employees.
9. Click the Three Dots in front of a row to access the computer's Context Menu. From the Context Menu, you can:
a. Show details record: will open an Activity panel on the right side of the screen, where you can see detailed info about an activity. You can also view the screen recording of the activity or print the details by using the View Record and Print buttons on this panel.
b. View Record: will launch the Session Player so that you can view the video recordings. Note: you can also click the Movie Camera icon next to a timestamp to view the screen recording.
c. Classify Activity: will open the Classify Activity panel, where you will be able to classify the apps/websites. See the Classifying Applications and Websites as Productive/Unproductive section to learn more.
d. Investigate: will open the Employee's Details page for the selected employee.
10. Click the Grid icon to add or remove columns from the report. For instructions on organizing columns and rows within a grid widget, refer to the Adjusting Columns and Rows section.
While most columns and data points in the grid widget are self-explanatory, certain productivity time metrics (e.g., Productive Time, Unproductive Time) may require further explanation. You can find more information about these in this Knowledge Base article.
Alerts
This tab shows behavior rule violation alerts. It’s similar to the Behavior Alerts dashboard.
Snapshots
This tab shows screen recordings of all the users on the computer. It’s similar to the Live View > Snapshots dashboard.
Live Montage
This tab shows the live desktop previews of all users on the computer. It's similar to the Live View > Player dashboard.
IP History
This tab shows the IP addresses from which the computer logged in over the selected time period.
Emails
This tab shows the email activities of all users on the computer. It’s similar to the Emails dashboard.
File Transfers
This tab shows the employee’s file activities, such as Access, Read, Write, Web Upload/ Web Download, etc. It’s like a combined dashboard of File Events and Web File Events dashboards.
Computer Actions Menu
Single Computer Actions
1. Click the Three Dots n front of a computer to access its Actions menu. You can:
Open Profile: to view the computer's details/activity reports.
Edit Computer Info: to edit the computer’s information/settings, such as clearing the print spool, setting up auto delete of recordings, etc.
Enable Monitoring: to enable monitoring.
Disable Monitoring: to disable monitoring. On the Revealed Agent, the user will not be able to log in if you disable the monitoring. If they are already logged in, they will be logged out immediately.
Troubleshooting: Opens the Remote Troubleshooting option. Check out this Knowledge Base article to learn more.
Update Agent: updates the Teramind Agent with the latest version. Available on On-Premises deployments only.

Multi-Employee/Batch Actions
1. Select one or more computers by clicking the Checkbox in front of a computer's name.
2. An Actions menu will be shown near the top-right corner. From the menu, you can perform actions such as enabling/disabling monitoring, archiving (deleting) the computers, etc. The actions are the same as the Single Computer Actions.
3. Click the Apply button after you have selected an action.
Editing Computer Info/Settings
Select the Edit Computer Info option from the Computer Actions Menu to edit its information:
Enable Auto Clear Print Spool: This option is available when the Teramind Agent is installed on a print server. When this option is enabled, the Teramind Agent will check the print spooler every 10 minutes and delete documents older than 6 hours.
Notify when offline: When you enable this option, you can specify one or more Email addresses that will get an email notification whenever the selected computers go offline. You can also specify the Computer offline threshold (in seconds). The system will wait until this threshold is reached before sending out the notification email. The default and minimum value is 180 seconds.
Delete recordings older than: This option is available on On-Premises deployments only. It lets you delete recordings older than a certain days. A value other than 0 will override the Retention Period settings on Monitoring Profiles > Screen Recording.
