Main Interface

The screenshot below shows the main interface and the common items available across the different screens/reports.

Main Menu

From here, you can access the main dashboards and screens. Some menu items have sub-menus. You can expand/collapse such items by clicking them. You can expand/collapse the menu by clicking the Angle Brackets icon in front of the Window Title.

You can open any menu or sub-menu item in a separate browser tab, window, or split-view. Simply right-click a menu item and select the appropriate "Open link..." option (e.g., "Open link in new tab"). This functionality is particularly effective for multitasking and side-by-side comparisons. For example, this is useful when you need to cross-reference the same dashboard analytics across different time periods or user groups without losing your current progress.

Window Title

Shows the title of the screen/report. In front of the title, you will see an Angle Brackets icon. It will let you expand/collapse the main menu.

Search

The Search field at the top of a dashboard/screen allows you to search for the content of the screen. For example, when you are on the Dashboards screen, you can search for a dashboard by name.

Note that only some screens have the Search option.

Global Search

The Global Search field (labeled Search anything) near the top-right corner allows you to search for items across all dashboards and reports. You can search for various entities, such as dashboards, employees, computers, behavior rules, configuration settings, etc.:

Select an item from the results list to navigate directly to its location. For example, clicking an employee opens their details page, while clicking a behavior rule opens the rule in the Rule Editor, and so on.

Layout

The Layout buttons let you switch between Card/List layout:

UI Settings

The UI Settings icon lets you access the UI settings:

1. Light mode / Dark mode: select a mode to change the dashboard theme (the default mode is Light):

2. Regular interface / Dense interface: Select an interface to change the information density of the interface. The Regular interface has more spaces while the Dense interface fits more information on the screen (the default interface is Dense):

The Help menu comes with several links to helpful resources.

  • Knowledge base: to visit the Teramind Knowledge Base (this site). The Knowledge Base contains guides, how-to articles, troubleshooting tips, and other resources to help you utilize Teramind.

3. You can apply filters by employees/computers, etc., by clicking the Filters button.

4. Click the Grid icon to select which columns to display on the report.

5. The Dashboard Actions Menu allows you to export the notifications as a CSV or PDF file.

The Personal tab holds your identity (name, email, photo) and professional details (department, position, pay rate, etc.). The options work similarly to an employee profile. For more information, see Creating a New Employee > Personal section.

Note that the options you can edit on your profile depend on your account access level (such as Administrator, Operational Administrator, or Employee) and your assigned access control permissions.

Account

The Account tab lets you change your default task, access level (role), dashboard visibility (permissions), interface language, and password. The options work similarly to an employee profile. For more information, see Creating a New Employee > Personal section.

Note that the options you can edit on your profile depend on your account access level (such as Administrator, Operational Administrator, or Employee) and your assigned access control permissions.

Authentication

The Authentication tab lets you configure your two-factor authentication (2FA) options. See this article in the Knowledge Base for step-by-step instructions.

System Alerts

When you perform an action, such as saving or deleting an item, or when there's a system warning or error, a system alert message will appear at the bottom-left of the screen:

The icon of the alert will indicate whether it’s a simple information message, a warning, an error, etc.

The message will automatically disappear after a few seconds.
