Main Interface

Updated this week

The screenshot below shows the main interface and the common items available across the different screens/reports.

Main Menu

From here, you can access the main dashboards and screens. Some menu items have sub-menus. You can expand/collapse such items by clicking them. You can expand/collapse the menu by clicking the Angle Brackets icon in front of the Window Title.

Window Title

Shows the title of the screen/report. In front of the title, you will see an Angle Brackets icon. It will let you expand/collapse the main menu.

Filters

The Filters button lets you filter the items on the dashboard/screen. When you click it, a panel on the right will let you specify the filters. The filters will change depending on the dashboard/screen you are in.

For example, when you are on the Dashboard screen, you can filter the dashboard by Dashboard Name and Description only.

However, when you are on the Applications & Websites dashboard, you can filter the dashboard by App/Domain, Browser, Title, URL, etc. The dashboards also have some common filters available to all dashboards, such as User, Computer, Department, etc.

1. Add a filter: Click the Add filter dropdown menu and choose from the available list.

2. Delete a filter: Click the Trash Can icon next to the filter you want to remove.

3. Add multiple values to a filter: For filters that support multiple values, click the small Plusicon (or click the empty space in the field) to add a value.

4. Remove a specific value: Click the small x icon next to any value to delete it.

5. Pin (bookmark) a filter: Click the Star icon in front of a filter to pin or unpin it. Pinned filters will appear in the top-left corner of your dashboard (e.g., the Date and App/Domain filters shown in the screenshot are pinned).

6. Clear all filters: Click the Clear All button to remove all active filters.

Some chart widgets allow you to quickly apply a filter. Check out the Viewing the Drill-Down Chart (quick filter) section to learn more.

Search

The Search field at the top of a dashboard/screen allows you to search for the content of the screen. For example, when you are on the Dashboards screen, you can search for a dashboard by name.

Note that only some screens have the Search option.

Global Search

The Global Search field near the top-right corner allows you to search for an item across the screens/dashboards/reports. You can search for any item (e.g., dashboard, user, computer, behavior rule, configuration items, etc.).

Select an item from the list to go to that screen.

Click outside the search window to close it.
