Classifying a Single App/Website
You can quickly classify an application or website directly from a reporting dashboard, such as Applications & Websites:
1. Click the Three Dots
icon next to the desired row on the grid to open the Context Menu.
2. Select Classify Activity. The classification panel will open on the right.
3. A default profile (All profiles) is automatically assigned; you cannot change this. Select a Category (e.g., Productive, Unproductive, etc.) from the dropdown menu for the default profile.
4. If you want to create different classification rules for different teams, click Add Productivity Profile. For example, you can classify www.slideshare.net as "Unproductive" for the all employee (the Default profile) but mark it as "Productive" for the Marketing department's profile.
5. Click the Minus
button to remove a profile.
6. Click Classify to save the changes.
Note: Activities are classified as they are recorded. However, you can retroactively update past classifications from the Productivity Profiles screen.
Classifying Multiple Unclassified Apps/Domains
You can batch classify a group of apps/domains that have not yet been classified from the Configurations > Productivity Profiles > Unclassified apps/domains screen:
1. Click the Checkboxes
in front of the desired apps/domains to select them.
2. Click the Classify button on top. The Classify Activity panel will open on the right side of the screen.
3. Select a Productivity Profile and a Category from the respective dropdown menus.
4. Retroactive Update: In the Apply changes to past classifications? section, select the "Update since..." option. This allows you to update past activity records for up to the last 30 days of data.
Updating past classifications is a data-intensive process and may take some time to complete.
5. Click the Classify button to save and apply the changes.
