There are two primary ways you can define the permissions and privileges of users within Teramind:
Method 1: Using Built-In Administrator Roles
Teramind provides several predefined administrator roles (Account Types/Access Levels), such as Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, and Operational Administrator. Each built-in role comes with a fixed, specific set of permissions and privileges that cannot be customized.
ℹ️ To learn how to assign these roles and review the permissions associated with each level, please refer to this article.
Method 2: Creating Custom Access Control Policies
If you require a unique, custom role, with specific, user-defined permissions, you can utilize Access Control Policies. These policies allow you to grant non-administrator users to privileged status.
Built-in administrator accounts cannot be included in Access Control Policies. To apply a policy to an administrator, their access level must first be changed to a regular Employee role.
