Introducing Support for Google Single Sign-On (SSO)

We are excited to announce the launch of Google Single Sign-On (SSO). This highly requested feature simplifies your login experience, allowing you to access your Teramind Dashboard using your existing Google credentials.

By integrating Google SSO, we are providing a more seamless and secure way for your team to manage their workflow without the need for additional standalone passwords.

Feature Highlights

  • One-Click Access: Users can now log into the Teramind Dashboard instantly by clicking the Sign in with Google button on the login screen.

  • Streamlined User Management: Leverage your existing Google identity provider for a more unified authentication process across your organization.

  • Enhanced Security: Reduce password fatigue and the risks associated with managing multiple individual account credentials.

How to Use the Feature

To enable and use Google SSO, follow these steps:

Enabling Google SSO (Administrators):

  1. Navigate to Configurations > Settings from the main menu.

  2. Select the Authentication tab.

  3. Locate the Google single sign-on (SSO) section.

  4. Switch the Enable Google SSO toggle to ON.

  • Users must be manually added to the Teramind Dashboard (under the Employees screen) before they can successfully authenticate via Google SSO.

  • Even with Google SSO enabled, users will still need to set a password within Teramind if they are required to log in through the Teramind Revealed Agent.

Logging in with Google (Users):

  1. Go to your Teramind Dashboard login screen.

  2. Click the Sign in with Google button.

  3. Follow the standard Google authentication prompts to complete your login.

Improved Session Player

The Session Player has been enhanced to provide a more reliable and intuitive experience for both real-time monitoring and historical forensic audits. These updates focus on improving navigation precision, ensuring data accuracy across time zones, and streamlining playback controls, allowing for more efficient investigations into user activities and behavior alerts.

What's New

  • Clearer Zoom Control Label: The "Fit" button in the zoom control has been renamed to Fit screen to more accurately describe how the video automatically adjusts to your current window size.

  • Timeline Tooltip & Time Display: Hovering over the timeline rail now displays a precise time tooltip that follows the cursor and updates smoothly. This allows you to pinpoint exact moments in a recording before clicking to seek, improving the speed and accuracy of your audits.

  • Timezone-Aware Day Range: The player timeline now strictly respects the configured timezone, always showing the full day and correctly clipping sessions that span midnight to the selected date.

  • Accurate Click-to-Seek Behavior: Clicking anywhere on the timeline rail now positions the playhead exactly where you click, ensuring the displayed time matches the selected point.

  • Complete Session Visibility for the Day: All available recordings for the selected date are now shown properly on the timeline, rather than just the initially opened session, allowing you to see and access every session for that day.

  • More Reliable Live View Access: We resolved an issue where the Live View button could appear disabled inside the calendar UI, ensuring live sessions remain accessible whenever a user is online.

  • Smoother Seek Controls: Added debounce to fast forward/rewind buttons and disabled them when the player is paused to reduce accidental multiple jumps and make seeking behavior more predictable.

  • Consistent Initial Time on Open: When opening the player from a specific timestamp, the player starts at that exact time without briefly jumping to the current time.

Deployment is now “My Account”

To streamline your experience, we have moved the System > Deployment screen to My Account. You can now manage your subscription and deployment settings in one centralized location. While core functionality remains the same, we’ve made the following improvements:

What’s New

  • Clearer Purchase Options: The "Upgrade package" button has been replaced by two specific options: Increase licenses and Update plan. Both lead to the checkout page for a faster workflow.

  • Enhanced Billing Access: The "Edit billing info" link is now a prominent button, making it much easier to locate.

  • Dedicated Cancellation Section: To prevent accidental clicks and improve clarity, the Cancel subscription option has moved to its own dedicated section at the bottom of the page.

  • Improved Support PIN: The Support PIN section now features a more prominent design for better visibility and will clearly indicate if a PIN has expired.

Enhanced Insights Feed

The Insights dashboard - a specialized hub for oversight and forensic investigation, has been updated to deliver a more informative and streamlined feed experience. These improvements ensure that critical metadata is visible at a glance, allowing administrators to manage incidents and analyze behavior patterns more effectively.

What’s New

The header section of each insight feed now provides immediate context for every incident:

  • Source-Specific Metadata: Headers now dynamically display information based on the source of the event:

    • For Insights Sources: Now includes the specific Category (e.g., Activity Falsification) and Type (e.g., Key Pressing or Inorganic Mouse Movement).

    • For Behavior Alert Sources: Now explicitly lists the associated Rule and Policy triggered by the user.

  • Incident Duration: The duration of every incident is now clearly shown in the header, providing a clearer timeline for investigations.

  • Strategic Setting Relocation: The Stealth agent protection option has moved from the Configurations > Settings > Security tab to the Agents tab ensuring all Agent-specific protections are grouped logically.

  • Improved Scheduling Logic: The "Apply to all" button under the Monitoring Schedule has been renamed to Apply schedule to all to clarify that the action synchronizes timeframes across all monitoring channels.

  • Simplified Employee Imports: To reduce manual data entry, the Tenant field has been removed and is no longer a requirement when importing employees from a CSV file.
