Release 26.42.1.30579 (2026-10-28)

Live View Only Option in Screen Recording Monitoring Settings

Monitoring profiles have a new Live view only option for situations where you need to see what is happening on a screen right now, but have no business need to keep a recording. Supervisors can still watch employees' screens live, while no screen recordings are saved. This helps you follow data minimization and privacy requirements, and saves the storage that recordings would otherwise use.

To turn it on, go to Configurations > Monitoring Profiles, open a profile, click the edit icon on the Screen Recording channel, and under Video settings select Live view only. Click Apply changes, then Save.

In Teramind Legacy, go to Monitoring > Monitoring Settings and open a profile. Click the gear icon on the Screen row, then turn on Live View Only in the Screen: Edit settings window.

Time Cards: Export, Sorting and Custom Weeks

Time Tracking > Time Cards now covers the full payroll and timesheet workflow:

  • Export: Use the new Export button to download time cards with Export CSV or Export PDF, in both Day and Week view. Share time records with payroll or managers, or keep them for your records.

  • Sorting: Click a column heading to sort. In Day view you can sort by Employee, Time Worked and Activity; in Week view, by Employee and Total. Exports keep the same order, so the file matches what you reviewed on screen.

  • Custom Week Start: In Week view, the day you pick now starts the week, so you can review a week that matches your pay period, such as Friday to Thursday.

  • Clearer Week Headers: Each day header now fits on one line, for example "Mon, Oct 26", which makes the week easier to scan.

Turn AI Features On or Off

The new AI Features tab lets you control whether your team uses AI features (e.g., AI Widget Generator) in Teramind. Admins can turn AI features on or off for the whole deployment, which helps organizations with strict data or AI usage policies.

To change the setting, go to Configurations > Settings and open the AI Features tab. A table lists each AI feature and its status. Turn the Enable AI features toggle on or off, then click Save.

  • When AI features are disabled, you cannot create any new widgets with the AI Widget Generator.

  • Exiting AI-generated widgets will continue to work but you won’t be able to edit them. They can be edited again once AI features are re-enabled.

  • The setting applies to the whole deployment, for all users.

Filters and Dates That Follow You

You no longer have to set the same filters and dates again every time you move between pages. Filters and the selected date now stay with you as you work:

  • List Pages: Filters you set on a list page, such as Employees, stay applied when you open another page and come back. This includes the filter drawer, the pinned filter bar and the search box. A browser refresh or sign-out clears them.

  • One Date Range: The date range you pick on any page or dashboard becomes the date range on every other page, and it is kept after a refresh, so all the data you compare covers the same period. System > Dashboard Exports and System > Video Exports keep their own range.

  • Dashboards: Each dashboard remembers the filters you set on it while you move to other pages and come back. On custom dashboards, the changed filters show as unsaved changes until you click Save.

Set a Dashboard as Home from the Dashboard

Make the dashboard you use most the first thing you see when you sign in. Open any dashboard, click the Three Dots (⋮) at the top right and select Set as home. You no longer need to go back to the dashboards list to do it. You can also set or unset a home dashboard from the preset dashboard cards on the All Dashboards page.

Portrait or Landscape PDF Exports

Choose the page orientation that best fits your dashboard, for example Portrait for tall grids and printed reports, or Landscape for wide charts. Click Export > Export PDF on a dashboard and select an option under Page Orientation. Scheduled exports have the same option, so reports that are e-mailed automatically look the way you want.

Text Filter on the Instant Messages Dashboard

Find the conversations that matter without exporting every message and searching it in a spreadsheet. On the Instant Messages dashboard, click Filters, expand the Instant messages section and enter a word or phrase in the Text filter, for example a project name or a sensitive term. Select Exclude to show messages that do not contain it. This is useful for investigations, HR reviews and spotting workplace issues early.

Download Email Attachments from the Emails Dashboard

Review the files that were sent or received by e-mail directly from the dashboard. On the Emails dashboard, click the three dots (⋮) on an email row and point to Download attachments to see the email's attachments. Use Search to find an attachment, then click it to download it. This makes it faster to check what was shared during an investigation or a data loss review.

Identity Attributes Filters

If you use Active Directory, you can now filter dashboards by the attributes stored in your directory, such as office, title or cost center, so reports follow your organization's structure without extra setup in Teramind. In dashboard Filters, use the new Identity Attributes section and click Add filter to choose an attribute and its values. For example, pick AD: department and select Finance and Sales to see only those teams, or tick Exclude to leave them out. These filters apply to every widget, both on screen and in exports.

More Useful Employee Activity Tab

The Activity tab on an employee's page now answers the first question most reviewers ask: where did this person spend their time? A new Top Apps/Domains chart shows the applications and websites used most, and the activity grid has a new Idle Time column. Archived employees can now be restored from the page's Actions menu.

Export Departments

Share your department structure, members and managers with HR or auditors, or keep an offline record of it. Configurations > Departments now has an Export button with Export CSV and Export PDF. The file matches the grid: the visible columns in on-screen order, the current sort, and any search and manager or employee filters. Exports follow the same access permissions as the page, and finished files appear in System > Dashboard Exports.

Other Updates and Improvements

  • Shift+Click Selection: On the Employees and Computers pages and the unclassified productivity list, Shift+click on a row checkbox now selects every row between it and the row you ticked before. This makes bulk actions on long lists much faster.

  • Rule Preview Exclusions: Preview Rule now shows the employees that the parent policy excludes from a behavior rule, in an Exclude from rule row, so you can confirm exactly who a rule will and will not apply to before you save it.

  • Chart Measures: A chart widget can no longer combine measures in different units, such as a time beside a percentage. Both were drawn on the same axis, so one of them was shown at the wrong scale and the chart could lead to wrong conclusions. The widget editor now explains this under Measures, so every chart you share shows accurate values.

  • Productivity Detail: On the Productivity dashboard, Productivity detail now shows Avg productive no idle time as a time value as well as a percentage, so you can see how many hours of productive work it represents. Column lists show full names on hover.

  • Insights Widgets: Insights widgets now show the same data as in Teramind Legacy, including charts with a row limit, so results are consistent whichever interface you use.

  • Video Exports: The Video Exports list can now be sorted by Created At, Status, Employee, Finished and Creator. The Persistent column now appears only on self-hosted/on-premises deployments.

  • Scheduled Export File Names: Files from scheduled exports are now named after the widget and tab they come from, so recipients can tell reports apart at a glance.

  • Monitoring Profiles: A new monitoring profile now opens right after you create it, so you can set up its channels and assignments. Channels are listed in a consistent order on every screen, starting with AI Usage.

  • Live View Widgets: Widgets on the Live View dashboard now have the same actions as other widgets: Filter, Expand, Edit, Clone and Remove.

  • Search Anything: Departments can now be found from the Search anything box, so you can jump straight to a department without browsing the menu.

  • Dashboard Tab Names: Long dashboard tab names now stay on one line and end with an ellipsis, with the full name shown on hover. New tab names are limited to 50 characters.

  • Integrations: On System > Integrations, the Last sync column heading now explains what the date means.

  • Computer Notifications: The Computers page now shows a confirmation after you enable or disable notifications for a computer.

  • Schedules Column Width: On Configurations > Schedules, the Employees column on the Scheduling tab and the Name column on the Schedules tab now have a fixed width. Long names end with an ellipsis and show in full on hover, so the page stays readable and aligned however long your employee and template names are.

  • Access Control Targets: In Configurations > Access Control, the list policy editor now uses Targets instead of Resources, and the selection list reads "Select targets from the list below". The wording now matches Teramind Legacy, so admins who use both see the same terms.

  • Minimum Participants Help Text: On the Microsoft Outlook Calendar integration page, under Detection rules, the help text for Minimum participants now reads "The minimum number of participants invited to the event." It previously said the count included only participants who accepted the invite. The text is updated in all supported languages, so admins know the setting counts everyone invited, including the organizer.

Bug Fixes

  • Session Player Activity List: Fixed an issue where the session player's activity and notification lists showed only about the last 30 minutes of the day. Older entries now load as you scroll, and Follow playback keeps the list on the playing row.

  • Live Screens: Fixed an issue where live screens in the Session Player could stay empty, and where an employee who had logged off could appear online again.

  • History Playback: Fixed an issue where history playback in the Session Player stopped with a "no record" message when you moved quickly around the timeline.

  • Latest Snapshots Widget: Fixed an issue where the Latest Snapshots widget timed out on large accounts.

  • Behavior Rule Department Changes: Fixed an issue where behavior rules, such as USB blocking rules, took hours or days to apply after you changed the departments in Apply rule to. Changes now apply within seconds.

  • Self-Hosted Hostnames: Fixed an issue where self-hosted/on-premises deployments could not save a hostname ending in a longer domain, such as .services.

  • Employees Search: Fixed an issue where searching the Employees list for text ending with a backslash stopped the list from loading.

  • Website Alert E-mails: Fixed an issue where website alert e-mails were not delivered for pages with very long URLs, such as images opened in their own tab. The URL is now shortened in the e-mail.

  • SIEM Delivery Messages: Fixed an issue where the Notifications report and the Issues page showed an empty row when an event could not be delivered to SIEM. They now show a message.

  • "Is One Of" Filters: Fixed an issue where a widget filter set to "Is one of" switched to "Contains" after its last value was removed.

  • Bar Chart Minimap: Fixed an issue where scrolling over a bar chart's minimap did nothing, and where resizing the widget or entering Customize dashboard reset the chart to its first rows.

  • Positions Templates: Fixed an issue where the Positions list showed "No template" for positions that have a schedule template.

  • Layout Issues: Fixed long names stretching dropdown lists across the page, the Insights period picker size, the result counter on the Locations page, time labels overflowing the behavior rule time slider, double scroll bars in the behavior rule editor, and inconsistent tooltips on disabled buttons.

Security & Stability

This release includes security improvements, such as stricter permission checks for e-mail PDF exports and attachment downloads, behavior rule changes, computer actions and timeline tags, as well as updated third-party components and general hardening and stability fixes across the platform.
