A "404 Not Found" error when trying to download the Teramind Agent usually indicates that the server cannot find the requested installer file. This issue is most common in On-Premises or Private Cloud deployments.
Follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the error:
1. Verify Firewall and Network Ports
The most frequent cause of a 404 error is that your firewall is blocking the specific ports required to access the download link. Check this article to learn which ports are used by Teramind. Ensure they are open, especially port 80 and 443.
2. Verify Server Metadata and Synchronization
For On-Premises deployments, a 404 can occur if the installer files have not been properly synchronized to the local server or if the server's hostname has changed. Go to Configurations > Settings > Security. Ensure the Hostname field matches your server's actual DNS/IP. If this was recently changed, old download links will point to a non-existent path.
3. Validate the Download Link Generation
Download links are generated dynamically. If a link has expired or was copied incorrectly, it may result in a 404. Get a new link from the System > Download Agent screen.
4. Clear Browser Cache
Sometimes the browser caches a "broken" link or an old session state. Clear your browser's cache and cookies. Try to download agin from the System > Download Agent screen.
