The System Log screen records every action administrators and users take on the instance, with who did it, when, from which IP address, and what was affected. Use it to audit changes, trace who viewed or modified a record, and export the log for compliance.
The System Log shows the same audit records as the Audit dashboard, with additional filtering and per-entry details.
1. Date Range: Use the date range selector to show only entries within the selected period.
2. Search: Use this search field to filter the log by keywords.
3. Refresh: Click this button to reload the log with the latest entries.
4. Filters: Click this button to filter the log, such as by action type, employee, etc.
5. Export: Click this button to download the log as CSV or PDF, or to set up a scheduled export that emails the log on a recurring basis.
6. Grid Menu: Click the Grid
icon to select which columns are shown on the log grid. Here are the available columns and their descriptions:
Time: The date and time the action occurred.
IP: The IP address the action was performed from.
Employee: The user who performed the action.
Action: What was done (for example Login, View, Create, Edit, Delete, Export).
Object Type: The kind of item the action applied to (for example Employee, Behavior Policy, Monitoring Profile, BI Query, Player).
Object Name: The name of the specific item affected.
Details: A short summary of the entry. Entries with more information show a Click here to view details link; click it to open a panel with the full record of the action. For a BI Query entry, for example, the panel shows the query's fields, cubes, filters, sort order, and row limit:
