How to change the time when monitoring is active (monitoring schedule)

The monitoring schedule allows you to specify exactly when user tracking takes place. By setting a schedule, you can ensure that monitoring only occurs during designated work hours, helping to balance organizational needs with user privacy.

The monitoring schedule uses the Timezone selected within the Dashboard’s Locale settings to apply the specified date and time ranges for tracking.

Changing the Monitoring Schedule for a Group

You can change the monitoring schedule for a group of employees, computers or departments from the Configurations > Monitoring Profiles screen:

1. Navigate to Configurations > Monitoring Profiles.

2. Click the profile's Name.

3. Assign the schedule:

  • Option 1: To Assign a Bulk/Global Schedule:

    • Click the Clock icon at the top-right of the profile to apply a single schedule to multiple monitoring channels simultaneously.

    • Drag the two small Orange Circles on the slider to adjust the start and end times. Click the Reverse icon to reverse the time.

  • Option 2: To Assign a Single Channel's Schedule:

    • Click the Edit button next to a specific monitoring channel (e.g., Screen Recording) to set a schedule just for that channel.

    • Drag the two small Orange Circles on the slider to adjust the start and end times. Click the Reverse icon to reverse the time.

    • Click the Apply to all button to force this specific schedule onto every monitoring channel within the current profile (effectively making it a bulk schedule change).

4. Click the Submit button when done.

Changing the Monitoring Schedule for a Single Employee

If you need to customize the monitoring schedule for a specific individual rather than an entire group, you can do so directly through the employee's profile:

1. Navigate to the Employees dashboard.

2. Click the employee's Name.

3. Click the Edit Profile button.

4. Select the Monitoring tab from the Edit Profile panel.

5. Assign the schedule:

  • Option 1: To Assign a different monitoring profile:

    • From the top of the Monitoring tab, you can use the dropdown to assign the employee to a completely different monitoring profile. This will automatically apply that profile's specific monitoring schedule to the employee.

  • Option 2: To Assign a Single Channel's Schedule:

    • Click the Gear icon next to a specific monitoring channel (e.g., Screen Recording) to set a schedule just for that channel.

    • Drag the two small Orange Circles on the slider to adjust the start and end times. Click the Reverse icon to reverse the time.

    • Click the Apply to all button to force this specific schedule onto every monitoring channel within the current profile (effectively making it a bulk schedule change).

    • Click the Submit button to save the schedule.

  • Option 3: To Assign a Bulk/Global Schedule:

    • Click the Schedule tab near the top to apply a single schedule to multiple monitoring channels simultaneously.

    • Drag the two small Orange Circles on the slider to adjust the start and end times. Click the Reverse icon to reverse the time.

6. Click the Apply Changes button to save the changes to the profile.

Automatic Custom Profile: Changing the monitoring settings of an employee from their profile will automatically assign them under the "Custom profile". This custom profile overrides any other monitoring profiles (and monitoring schedules) the employee may be part of.
