Notes About Updating Your License

General Updates / Upgrades:

  • Changing the Payment Method: To switch to a new credit card, please update your billing information first before modifying your subscription.

  • Adding Licenses: New licenses purchased mid-term are charged at a prorated rate based on the time remaining in your current billing cycle.

  • Cycle Changes: If you change your subscription period (e.g., from monthly to annual), the system will reset your subscription date.

  • Effective Time: Most upgrades take effect immediately, but please allow up to one hour for the changes to be reflected in your account.

Downgrades:

  • Effective Time: Downgrades, such as reducing your license count or moving to a lower-tier package (e.g., from DLP to UAM) do not take effect immediately. Your current plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle, and the changes will only become effective on your next renewal date.

  • Submission Deadline: Downgrades must be submitted before your renewal date to take effect for the next cycle. If the downgrade is submitted after the renewal date, the system will still renew the subscription under the existing plan.

  • Effective Date: If you request a downgrade mid-term, your current plan will remain active until the end of the paid period. The downgrade will only apply on your next renewal date.

  • Late Requests: Any downgrade submitted after the renewal date has passed will not apply to the current cycle; it will take effect during the following renewal cycle.

    Example Scenario:

    • Current Subscription Period: January 14, 2026 – February 13, 2026

    • Renewal Date: February 14, 2026

    • Result: A downgrade submitted any time between Jan 14 and Feb 13 will become effective on February 14, 2026.
