My Account (On-Premises)

Introduction to My Account

On On-Premises or Private Cloud deployments, the My Account screen displays your deployment details, including the versions of your server, UI, and agents. From this screen, you can also update your server and change your license key.

See below for more information about each section of this screen.

Subscription

Click the Go to Self-Hosted Portal button to go to the Self-Hosted Portal, where you can manage your subscription, get the license key, handle billing information, etc.

About your deployment

This section offers a comprehensive overview of the active license and its operational limits. It displays unique identifiers like the Hardware ID, tracks license Entitlements for endpoints and session hosts, and identifies the specific Solution tier currently in use. This area is vital for monitoring the Expiration date to ensure continuous coverage and allows for license key updates as needed.

If for any reason, you wanted to change the license key (i.e. you upgraded from a trial to a paid account), you can do that from here.

Changing Your License Key

You can get your license key from the Self-Hosted Portal:

1. Select the Licenses tab from the Self-Hosted Portal.

2. From the list of licenses, click the Key link under the Actions column. A pop-up will display the license key.

3. Copy the license key or write it down.

4. Go back to the My Account tab:

5. Enter the license key under the About your deployment section, and click the Change button.

Software

The Software section has two sub-sections:

  • The Installed components section provides a detailed the specific version numbers for the Server, Schema, and UI, along with the Teramind Agents for the supported operating systems. This technical snapshot is critical for troubleshooting and ensuring all parts of the deployment are up to date and synchronized.

  • The Update section allows you to update the main server or the BI classifications (see below).

Updating Your Server / BI Classifications

You can get the main server (Master node) and BI classification updates from the Self-Hosted Portal:

1. Select the Download tab from the Self-Hosted Portal.

2. Scroll down to the Step 2. Download Packages section and click the download button under the Teramind Update section. If you want to just update the BI Classifications (TeraCat), click the download button under the Teramind Classification Update section. The update files have a ".tmu" extension.

3. Go back to the My Account tab:

4. Click the Select update file button under the Software > Update section. Then select the .tmu file you just downloaded. The button label will change to "Update Teramind":

5. Click the Select update file button under the Software > Update section and select the .tmu file you just downloaded.

Note that updating the main server (Master node) this way will also update any associated/slave nodes (app nodes, OCR screen mining nodes, screen mining database nodes, BI nodes, etc.).

However, updating the server will not update the BI classification package. To update it, you will need to download the Teramind Classification Update tmu file.

It's a good idea to update the installed Agents once you have updated the server as the server usually comes with an updated Agent. Check out this article to learn how to update the Agent:
