This feature is available on On-Premises/Private Cloud deployments only.
The Storage screen displays usage statistics for the internal volumes used by Teramind, lets you set thresholds and alerts for when those volumes reach specific capacity limits, and shows how recording storage is distributed across your employees.
Status
1. This section displays usage statistics for the three types of storage volumes utilized by Teramind:
Primary volume usage: Indicates the size and usage of the main system volume, which typically hosts the Teramind database.
Recording volume usage: Shows the status of the screen recording volume. You can manage this usage by adjusting your screen recording settings and retention policies. For more details, check [this article] on the Teramind Knowledge Base.
Total nodes usage: Reflects the combined disk consumption across all nodes in a multi-node deployment. In such a clustered setups where additional worker nodes (such as BI, OCR, or TeraCV nodes) are present, this metric aggregates their individual storage usage into a single figure, giving you a holistic view of storage health across the entire infrastructure. When only a single node is deployed, the field displays "Not available" since there are no additional nodes to aggregate.
Minimum Space Threshold
2. The Minimum space threshold field is where you instruct Teramind to stop recordings once the available space reaches the specified limit. Enter a value in the field and then select MB or % as the unit.
Teramind will automatically disable recordings at 500 MB regardless of your setting.
Email Minimum Space Threshold
3. The Email minimum space threshold field determines the point at which an email alert is triggered. Enter a value in the field (you can't select the unit; it's determined by Minimum space threshold). Note that the value must be equal to or greater than the Minimum space threshold. Setting this value to "0" will disable the email alert.
Email Addresses to be Notified on Storage Limitations
4. Use this field to specify the recipients for the Email minimum space threshold alert. Enter one or more email addresses, separated by commas. You can turn off email notifications completely by leaving this field empty.
Save/Discard Changes
5. Click Save to apply your changes, or Discard to revert them.
Recorded Data
6. The Recorded data total shows the overall disk space consumed by recordings on this instance. The table below breaks the usage down per employee:
Employee: The monitored user the recordings belong to.
Screen Time: Total duration of the employee's captured screen recordings.
Screen Space Used (GB): Disk space consumed by the employee's screen recordings.
Audio Time: Total duration of the employee's captured audio recordings.
Audio Space Used (GB): Disk space consumed by the employee's audio recordings.
Total: The employee's combined screen and audio recording storage.
Use this breakdown table to identify the employees whose recordings consume the most space, and adjust their monitoring profiles or retention policies accordingly.
Diagnostics Log Bundle
7. Shows the size of the diagnostics log bundle assembled by this instance. The bundle is a password-protected zip archive containing the server's container logs, system log files, and monitoring diagnostics messages, assembled on demand by the server when troubleshooting information needs to be shared with Teramind support. Whether an instance assembles a bundle depends on the deployment. If the instance assembles no diagnostics bundle, this section displays “N/A”. In that case, collect troubleshooting logs from a computer's own record instead (use the Troubleshooting action from the computer’s details page).
8. Click Refresh at the top-right of the screen to reload the latest usage figures.
