How are times assigned? which clock does the agent/server use?

The Teramind platform ensures accurate time tracking by coordinating the clocks between the server and the installed Agents based on the user's connectivity status:

  • Online Mode: When the user is connected to the network, the server assigns the time directly to the Agent to maintain synchronization across the dashboard.

  • Offline Mode (Previously Synced): If the user is offline, the Agent uses the local computer time but applies a correction factor based on the last known time difference with the server.

  • Offline Mode (Never Synced): If the user is offline and the Agent has never successfully synced with the server before, it uses the local computer time as the primary reference.
